Delcam USA, makers of FeatureCAM, seeks a bright, energetic professional for an applications support position in Salt Lake City, Utah. This person will support and train customers in the use of our advanced CAD/CAM software product.  You will conduct training sessions live or over the web, and answer questions and solve problems via email and telephone.  We are looking for someone with a great attitude who likes working with people. Must be able to learn quickly and problem solve effectively.  The successful candidate must be a team player who can work well with our software developers and other applications personnel.  The position requires excellent communication and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to follow through.  Some domestic and international travel possible, but travel is not a focus of this position.

Job Description

Delcam USA seeks a software development professional for release engineering of the FeatureCAM product line. Use your strong technical ability and skills at understanding complex systems in order to drive product releases of FeatureCAM. You'll work with developers, QA, and product managers to ensure that Delcam software products are delivered with a repeatable and auditable process.

Responsibilities:

• Help support the deployment of Delcam software products.
• Manage release branches.
• Build and sanity test release binaries.
• Push new releases to production.
• Maintain the build process to support ongoing R&D.
• Manage multiple translations of the software.
• Support technical writers in their software documentation efforts.
• Use scripting technologies to automate customer requirements.

Person description

The ideal candidate will have:

• BS or equivalent experience in a technical field.
• 2+ years experience in software engineering, release engineering, and/or configuration management. • Strong familiarity with software configuration management systems and/or source code version control systems.
• A good understanding of the different aspects of software development: planning, specification, development, QA, documentation, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of Windows development.
• Skill with one or more scripting languages.
• Experience with build management tools.
• Experience building C++ applications.
• Ability to work well with developers, test engineers, and non-engineering personnel.
• Outgoing.
